Pre-paid pickup
We email a courier label within 24 hours. Insured, climate-controlled freight, door to door — within warranty, on us.
Diagnose & quote
Inspected in Reykjavík within 48 hours of arrival. Photos and a written diagnosis sent before any work begins.
Repair & return
Most services completed in 2–4 weeks. Returned in the same case, set up to play, with a written service record.
Trained hands, near you.
For minor setups and quick fixes, we partner with a small number of vetted luthiers worldwide. Each has been to Reykjavík for a week of training and stocks Norlyth-spec parts.
All warranty work passes through these partners or our Reykjavík atelier — at no cost to you in the first 12 months.

Who owns the warranty.
Original owner
The warranty belongs to the first purchaser, registered automatically at delivery. No card to keep, no form to fill.
Second-hand transfer
If the instrument is sold within the first 12 months, the remainder of the warranty transfers — email us with the new owner's details.
Proof of cover
Your serial number on the headstock plate is the only thing we need. Receipts, certificates and original packaging are not required.
Honest, not infinite.
A guitar is a living object. Wood breathes, hardware oxidises, and a player's hands are part of the instrument's future. Promising "lifetime" without conditions would either be a lie or a license to never repair.
Our 12-month warranty covers the only things we can honestly guarantee: that the instrument left our bench correctly. Everything that follows — wear, climate, the slow patina of being played — we treat as service, not failure.
Which is why, after year one, we never stop working on your instrument. We just stop pretending it's free.
