Pjotr arrived at the boathouse in February 2022, mid-storm, and refused to leave. He sleeps under bench number three, ignores hammering, and complains audibly when we tune flat.
One afternoon we miked his purr and ran the spectrum. The fundamental sat almost exactly at 27 Hz — the same low resonance we had been chasing in the new signature body. The guitar was already finished. But the name wasn't.
Pjotr now appears on the certificate of authenticity for every Signature instrument. He has not asked for royalties.
From plank to player.
Each PurrRock spends 120 hours on the bench and 30 hours in the player's chair before it ships. Roasted Norwegian maple, hand-bent binding, voicing checked across 18 points of the soundboard.
