We build guitars that you never replace.
Literally.
Our approach to reliable is simple: build an instrument so good, and back it so completely, that it never needs to be replaced.
100% Traceable Tonewoods.
Every piece of wood in a Norlyth guitar can be traced back to the specific forest concession it was harvested from. We only buy from certified operations or direct from indigenous community forestry projects.
Carbon Negative Workshop.
Building guitars is energy intensive. We've redesigned our entire facility in Gothenburg to run exclusively on renewable energy. For the emissions we can't yet eliminate (like shipping), we offset 200% through verified reforestation projects in the Nordic region.
Closed-Loop Finishes.
Traditional nitrocellulose lacquers are devastating for both luthiers' lungs and the atmosphere. We spent three years developing a proprietary water-based finish that cures instantly under UV light. It's thinner than nitro (better tone), tougher than poly (better protection), and emits zero volatile organic compounds.
Zero-Plastic Packaging.
Every Norlyth ships in a case made from 100% recycled PET bottles, nestled in a shipping box made from unbleached, post-consumer corrugated cardboard. No bubble wrap. No foam peanuts. Even the packing tape is water-activated paper.
Built to be inherited.
Planned obsolescence has no place in lutherie. We build instruments designed to outlive their owners. Every Norlyth comes with a lifetime warranty for the original owner, and a free neck-reset guarantee if the geometry ever shifts.
Certified, not self-declared.
One guitar.
A lifetime of music.
