This groundbreaking design didn’t come easy. We endured countless failed prototypes to bring this instrument to life, testing more than 30 different guitar body shapes and materials along the way. 

These worn, discarded bodies you see are all the trial versions that didn’t make the cut — each one a hard-won lesson that brought us closer to the final PurrRock.

The whole journey began with our founder, Sophia. She’d long dreamed of owning a fully custom guitar, yet every off-the-shelf instrument on the market felt generic, lacking any unique, heartfelt character.

During this time, Sophia lost her beloved cat, and the grief inspired her to craft something timeless to honor her feline companion. That’s how the idea for the PurrRock series was born: a guitar built as a lasting tribute to her cat.

Our manufacturing factory fully backed this heartfelt custom concept from day one. We shared high-resolution artwork of Sophia’s cat with the production team, who then turned our vision into polished, detailed design renderings for the guitar body, complete with the lifelike cat graphic that defines the PurrRock aesthetic today.

Every scratch, redesign, and discarded prototype was worth it. What started as a personal memorial has grown into a one-of-a-kind handcrafted custom electric guitar, blending warm cat-themed artistry with innovative built-in audio technology that lets musicians create music freely, anytime, anywhere.
